Background: Few cases of patients of previous studies have provided information on imaging patterns of stroke after cardiac surgery. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the incidence and imaging pattern of stroke after cardiac surgery according to type of cardiac surgery. Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted on 3,645 adult patients who underwent cardiac surgery in cardiovascular thoracic unit at our institute from January 1, 2010 – September 30, 2019. Background: Currently, there has been limited effective and practical instruments for screening post-stroke depression (PSD) in Thailand. In 2014, Post-Stroke Depression Scale (PSDS) has been testified to be a valid and reliable self-rated questionnaire for evaluating Chinese patients with PSD. Objective: This study proposed to validate the Thai version of PSDS (PSDS-T) in Thai patients with acute ischemic stroke. Methods: The PSDS was translated into Thai language (PSDS-T). The validity and reliability were tested in 145 acute ischemic stroke patients. Background: Stroke is one of the leading causes of death and serious long-term disability worldwide. A common consequence of stroke is reduced quality of sleep. Objective: To study the quality of sleep in patients with stroke, related factors and the compatibility of wearable tracker device for collecting sleep data. Methods: This cross-sectional study included 66 subjects with stroke at Phramongkutklao Hospital using questionnaires including demographic questions, sleep quality assessment (PSQI), and the satisfaction of Wearable tracker tool assessments. Background: Poststroke depression (PSD) has impact on rehabilitation outcome. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) has been proven as a treatment of depression and might reduce depressive symptoms after stroke.Objectives: To determine the effects of high frequency rTMS in treatment of PSD compared to sertraline. Cognitive rehabilitation is a treatment to assist patients who have sustained cognitive, emotional and behavioral impairment. The process is aimed to help the cognitive impaired individuals to progress to the most possible independent level of function. Regardless of specific treatment used, the patients are likely need to have comprehensive neuropsychological assessment performed. This will help them to understand the strengths and weakness of the patient and this becomes the starting point for designing a program to fit in for the patients. The treatment typically involves four therapeutic modalities, namely; reality orientation therapy, cognitive stimulus therapy, compensation methods and psychotherapy.
