Canada is globally renowned as a nation of newcomers. Every year, around 200,000 immigrants make Canada their new home. As the share of immigrants continues to rise, understanding their systemic health transitions within the country becomes that much more crucial. Immigrant health status and wellbeing is currently discerned as a pressing public health concern. Analysis on immigrant health is critical in not only developing population specific healthcare policies, but also in building viable and resilient communities within Canada.
