As the science of stem cell research progresses it is difficult to tell what implications it will have on our society and for women. I will begin this discussion by examining how science has viewed women in the past, and use this as a basis to conjecture about how they will be viewed and treated in the future. Technology has long been used to assist in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD); but not until recently has it been used in the treatment of symptoms of this debilitating disease.
