Technology has long been used to assist in the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD); but not until recently has it been used in the treatment of symptoms of this debilitating disease. The current focus of technology use is assistance with activities of daily living (ADL’s) and patient safety. Research and experimentation have been conducted with devices to assist with memory loss in the Alzheimer’s patient.
