Purpose: An exploration of various resilience training programs to determine if there is a significant impact on the psychological resilience of health care professionals.
Method: An electronic systematic review using San Jose State University’s OneSearch database search engine was completed. The review contains published research articles between 2011-2022. Nine published articles were reviewed and used for this systematic review.
Results: There is limited data related to resilience training and resources in accredited nursing programs. Resilience training programs are both a feasible and acceptable way of building psychological resilience among interdisciplinary health care professionals.

Standardization of patient discharges by utilizing a discharge checklist would address discharge barriers, improve discharge times, enhance communication among the multidisciplinary team, and improve efficiency of care. A 5-week pilot, which was a quality improvement study, explored whether the utilization of a discharge checklist would improve discharge times and communication among the multidisciplinary team. This study was conducted in a northern California county hospital, on 2 medical- surgical units, with a participating physician team, case managers, and approximately 150 medical- surgical registered nurses. Purpose: This systematic review seeks to explore whether utilizing Eat, Sleep, Console (ESC) over the Finnegan Neonatal Abstinence Scale (FNASS) in the neonatal abstinence syndrome (NAS) population decreases length of stay or pharmacological interventions.
Method: Systematic literature review utilizing CINAHL, PubMed and Google Scholar databases.
Results: Utilizing Eat Sleep Console, over FNASS decreased length of stay and pharmacologic intervention.

In 2014, the Santa Clara County Superior Court received a Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant to improve the efficacy of the Juvenile Treatment Court (JTC) and Court for the Individualized Treatment of Adolescents (CITA) programs by streamlining the referral, screening, and court hearing processes. Receipt of the grant allowed the Superior Court to integrate JTC and CITA to establish the Progress Achieved Through Hope and Holistic Services (PATH2 Services) Court.

The purpose of this descriptive quantitative study was to explore the nursing students' perceptions of their attitude and knowledge regarding evidence-based practice (EBP). The Research Awareness Questionnaire (RAQ), previously used only with healthcare professionals was slightly modified and piloted with senior nursing students (N=22). Eighty-two percent (n=18) of the participants believe that EBP is part of their role. Only 41% (n=9) were confident to undertake research. On the actual knowledge measures, 96% (n=21) could define qualitative research, and 86 % (n=19) correctly defined quantitative research. Suggestions for revising the RAQ are discussed. Perceptions of the relationships between nurses and staff were evaluated from a faculty perspective to uncover the ways that the faculty react, respond, and help to support students. During interviews with faculty, access to practice and clinical unit atmosphere emerged as themes. Faculty described nurses granting access to practice by mentoring students and involving them in the entire care of the patient, or nurses who limited students' access to practice through unprofessional behavior, or "cutting corners." This study examined the students' perceptions of design, implementation and outcomes of a Simulated Clinical Experience (SCE) during their maternal-child clinical practicum. A convenience sample of 27 female and 2 male students with a mean age of 26 years, in a baccalaureate nursing program, evaluated simulation design, educational practices, student satisfaction and self confidence. The aim of the study was to assess cultural competence among nurses in an acute care setting. A 25-item questionnaire developed by Campinha-Bacote (2003) titled Inventory to Assess Cultural Competence Among Health Care Providers (IAPCC-R) along with a demographic survey were utilized to assess cultural competence among 100 nurses in an acute care hospital. The results of the study indicated that 70% of nurses (n=63) were culturally aware and 30% (n=27) were culturally competent. There was no statistical significance between the level of cultural competence and years of experience, educational degree or self rating of 'being culturally competent'. The findings …
