Introduction • There is a paucity of data regarding extent and patterns of marijuana use in pregnancy. • Nausea, sleep problems, anxiety are commonly reported reasons for use (Kaarid, 2021) • Marijuana use in pregnancy is associated with increased risk for neonates of preterm delivery, NICU admission, small for gestational age, and lower 1min APGAR scores (Marchand, 2022) • Knowledge of reasons and patterns of marijuana use is important to properly counsel patients, identify patients at risk for use during pregnancy and to offer alternative therapies that are safer during pregnancy.

Telehealth – which is the use of information and communication technology to provide clinical services to patients remotely – provides an opportunity to extend safe abortion services to women. A recent review article on telehealth for abortion service delivery found it to be acceptable, feasible and safe when compared to in-person service delivery. Introduction. National data exists suggesting the existence of geographic disparities in oncology care within the United States. It is unknown whether geographic disparities present a problem for women with gynecologic malignancies locally in Maine.

Methods. Data for each cervical cancer case diagnosed or treated under the MaineHealth system between 2007 and 2011 were acquired from the MaineHealth Network Registry. Operational Transformation

Discharging patients early in the day has many advantages amongst which is increased bed availability. However, the experience in a large academic tertiary medical center demonstrated that most discharges occurred early to mid afternoon. A care team on a mother /baby unit established a quality improvement project to increase the number of discharges by 11AM and streamline key discharge planning activities.

A root cause analysis identified multiple barriers to attaining he established goals. To address these barriers, a multi prong approach was instituted to include a discharge education KPI for all unit staff.

It has been estimated that in 2011, there were more than 64,000 surgeries performed in an outpatient setting. The highest rate of 0.46% (464/100,000 adult women) has been reported in Maine. Background: Over the last few years, ASU (ambulatory surgery unit) nurses have noted difficulty with discharging patients undergoing robotic hysterectomy in a timely manner due to both nausea and the inability to void.
