Objective To evaluate the prevalence of metabolic syndrome (MS) in a group of school-aged obese children of both sexes. Objective Clinical assessment and follow-up in school-aged diabetic children. Background Diabetes mellitus requires continuous medical care, patient self-management, education, and support to prevent acute complications and to reduce long-term complications. Patients and methods This descriptive study was conducted on 110 diabetic Egyptian children. Objective This work was designed to study the role of periostin in children with atopic dermatitis (AD) and to correlate its level with the severity and chronicity of AD. Background Periostin is a recent mediator in chronic states of allergic diseases and has significant roles in tissue remodeling in allergic inflammation.
