Purpose: To evaluate the effect of zirconia and titanium as abutment materials onperi-implant bone height changes and pocket depth in mandibular implant supportedover-denture. Subjects and methods: Ten completely edentulous patients wereselected from the Outpatient Clinic of the Faculty of Dental Medicine for Girls,Al-Azhar University. Two implants were implanted in the inter-foraminal area ofmandibular ridge. Two different abutments were screwed over implants. Right abutmentwas constructed of zirconia and left one was constructed of titanium. Construction ofmaxillary complete denture and mandibular implant supported over-denture for allpatients was performed.
