Radiographic Assessment Of The Effect Of Different Denture Base Materials On Peri-Implant Bone Changes In Mandibular Implant Supported Over-Denture, Reham H. Abd El-Hameed, Amany A. Abdel Fattah, Shereen M. Kabeel Jan 2023

Radiographic Assessment Of The Effect Of Different Denture Base Materials On Peri-Implant Bone Changes In Mandibular Implant Supported Over-Denture, Reham H. Abd El-Hameed, Amany A. Abdel Fattah, Shereen M. Kabeel

Al-Azhar Journal of Dentistry

Purpose: To evaluate the effect of different denture base materials on peri-implant bone changes (height & density) in implant-supported mandibular over-denture. Subjects and methods: Eighteen completely edentulous male patients were selected and rehabilitated by mandibular overdenture supported by two dental implants in the canine region. Patients were divided into three groups, six patients in each. Group I: patients received overdenture made from conventional heat-cured acrylic resin. Group II: patients received overdenture made from thermoplastic acrylic resin. Group III: Patients received overdenture made from (CAD/CAM) acrylic denture base. Peri-implant bone height and density were assessed with cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) …

Clinical And Radiographic Evaluation Of The Effect Of Different Denture Bases In Implant Supported Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Yasmin S. Zidan, Amany A. Abd El-Fattah, Dina M. Kholief Jan 2023

Clinical And Radiographic Evaluation Of The Effect Of Different Denture Bases In Implant Supported Mandibular Overdenture Cases, Yasmin S. Zidan, Amany A. Abd El-Fattah, Dina M. Kholief

Al-Azhar Journal of Dentistry

Purpose: To evaluate and compare the effect of CAD/CAM, thermoplastic, and conventional denture bases on denture retention, bone height, and density in implant-supported mandibular overdentures. Materials and Methods: Eighteen completely edentulous patients were selected, and for each patient, two implants were installed at the canine area of the mandible. After the osseointegration period, abutments were installed over the implants, and the patients were divided into three groups. Group I: Six patients received maxillary and mandibular heat-cured acrylic resin dentures. Group II: Six patients received maxillary heat-cured acrylic resin dentures and mandibular dentures with a thermoplastic denture base. Group III: …

Evaluation Of Two Types Of Surface Treatment Of Implants Supported Mandibular Complete Overdentures, Soha A. Mostafa, Amany A. Abdel Fattah, Dina M. Kholief Jan 2023

Evaluation Of Two Types Of Surface Treatment Of Implants Supported Mandibular Complete Overdentures, Soha A. Mostafa, Amany A. Abdel Fattah, Dina M. Kholief

Al-Azhar Journal of Dentistry

Purpose: The present study was performed to compare the effect of two types of implant surface treatment (Laser Treatment versus Resorbable Blast Media (RBM)) on marginal bone height and bone density in two implant-supported mandibular complete dentures. Subjects and methods: Mandibular complete dentures were supported by two implants in nine patients who are qualified for treatment with two implants: laser-Lok implants and RBM implants. At baseline, 6 months, and 12 months follow-up, radiographic examination utilizing cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was performed to evaluate marginal bone height and bone density. The ANOVA test was used to collect and analyze the …

Evaluation Of Implant Placement Location, Fixture Length, Diameter, And Surface Treatment As Factors Affecting The Success And Failure Of Dental Implant In A Group Of Egyptian Population: A Retrospective Study, Marwa M. Mansour, Naglaa S. Elkilan, Lobna M. Abd- Elazi Jan 2023

Abd- Elazi

Al-Azhar Journal of Dentistry

Purpose: The current clinical study was conducted to evaluate the effect of implant placement location, implant fixture length and diameter, and surface treatment as different implant factors and their contribution to implant survival. Material and Methods: the current study was done on 130 patients who underwent dental implant placement in different universities and clinics. Different types of data were collected including implant location in the arch, implant length and diameter, and surface treatment of implant fixture. Clinical evaluation was then done to evaluate both the intraoral condition of the patient and the implant clinical condition. A radiographic examination was also …
