การเจริญของอวัยวะย่อยอาหารและการย่อยอาหารของลูกวัวเปลี่ยนแปลงจากภาวะกะเพาะ เดี๋ยวไปเป็นลักษณะสี่กะเพาะของสัตว์เคี้ยวเอี้ยง ลักษณะการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ว่านี้ที่สำคัญก็คือ การเจริญเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วของกะเพาะส่วนหน้า คือ รูเม็น ริทิ๊คูลั่ม และโอม้าซั่ม ซึ่งดำเนินไป แบบได้สัดส่วนสัมพันธ์กับอวัยวะอื่นของระบบทางเดินอาหาร โภชนาหารเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญที่ควบคุม การเจริญ ความสามารถในการย่อย และหน้าที่ของระบบนี้โดยทั่วไป รายละเอียดในเชิงเปรียบเทียบ การเจริญของส่วนต่าง ๆ ซึ่งเป็นประโยชน์ในการวางแผนการเลี้ยงลูกวัวให้ได้ผลมีอยู่ในบทความนี้ นอกจากนี้ยังมีความรู้ทางสรีรวิทยารวมอยู่ด้วยโดยเฉพาะเรื่องน้ำย่อย แหล่งที่ผลิตและหน้าที่ของมัน

The buffalo (Bubalus bvbalis) be- longs to the bovidae family, and has been domesticated in India, Malasia, Thailand and Egypt for a long time. It occupies an important place amongst the domestic animals of the tropics as a provider of dairy produce, beef and draught power. Its greastest asset as a domestic animal is its ability to subsist on the coarsest fodder and to convert it most efficiently into animal produce. In distribution the domestic buffalo ranges widely from Italy in the west through the Balkans, Egypt and the Near East to India, Pakistan, Ceylon and Burma. The region where …

Study Of Pathological Changes In Ducks Fed High Levels Of Rapeseed Oil, Containing High And Low Levels Of Erucic Acid, And Soybean Oil., Cherdchai Ratanasethakul
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
High dietary levels of rapeseed oil containing high and low erucic acid and soybean oil were fed to ducks from one day of age through the early growing period. Clinical signs and mortality, hematology, gross and histopathologic changes were studied. The fallowing results were obtained : 1. Fatty infiltration occurred in the heart, skeletal muscles, spleen and kidney in ducks fed the high erucic acid rapeseed oil ration. Plaque Formation Of Tembusu Virus In Llc-Mk2 Cells, Watana Wa Tanawijarn
The Thai Journal of Veterinary Medicine
Propagation of Tembusu virus was studied in LLC-MK2 cell culture. This culture supported the multiplilication of the virus but showed no CPE after infection (20 days observation). The virus formed clear plagues in LLC-MK2 cells when concentration of glutamine and amino acids were reduced. Vitamins were required for increasing numbers of plaques. The LD50 in suckling mice by intracerebral inoculation was equal to 0.6 PFU on the basis of plaque assay in MK2 cells. Study of effect of various concentrations of serum in the first overlay media on plaque formation showed that plaque formation in MK2 cells was best in …

Histochemical Studies Of The Protein -Bound Thiol And Disulfide Groups In Piscian And Cephalopod Retina, Soomboon Srungboonmee

In comparative histochemical survey on the retinas of ten piscian species, paraffin sections were stained for cysteinyl thiol and cystinyl disulfide groups as well as for the basic groups on proteins. The routine hematoxylin-eosin staining was used for identification and orientation purposes. The piscian retinas were found for the first time to have the same pattern of thiol distribution reported in the literatues for other vertebrate classes. This is both very high density and relative concentration of protein thiol groups in the outer segments of the photoreceptors (rods and cones). Studies On The Effect Of The Basal Diets In Pure Strain Rats I. Inbred Wistar Furth Rats, Subhkij Angsubhakorn, Makoto Miyamoto, Natth Bhamarapravati

This experiment was designed to study the semisynthetic basal diets in relation to the anatomical and physiological evaluations of the pure strain rats. The weanling age of fourty male and female Wistar Furth rats were used. The diets T, TJ, J and a commercial chow pellets had been fed to four separated groups for three months. In all groups, the growing rates of male rats were increased more rapidly than that of females. Nine doves were found dead in the cage. Diarrhea, the exclusive clinical symptom was noticed. A postmortem examination suggested that the cause of death was the obstruction in the lumen of intestinal tract by Ascaridia columbae.

1) Ac. aegypti was the most susceptible to D. immitis among 5 species of mosquitoes used in this study. Complete development of D. immitis was not achieved in one species tested - Armi geres subalbatus. 2) Older Ae. aegypti were more susceptible to D. immitis than the youn-ger mosquitoes, while older An. stephensi were less susceptible than yonnger mosquitoes. 3) The most optimum temperature of larvae in mosquitoes was 27°C, but at 31°C mosquitoes developed longer larvae in a shorter period of time than they did at two low temperatures. Experiments were designed to determine the nature of the electrical potential difference as well as transport of water and electrolytes across the turtle urinary bladder Damonia subtri juga. In sodium chloride Ringer's solution a transbladder potential difference between 30-90 mv, was observed the mucosal side was negative with respect to the serosal side. A net flux of acid occurred in the opposite direction. An active chloride pump was believed to exist along with the sodium pump and hydrogen pump, thereby contributing to the potential difference observed across the layer of epithelial cells.
