Introduction: Antimicrobial resistance is one of the ten threats identified by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2019, since it affects modern healthcare and the effective prevention and treatment of an ever-increasing range of infections. Recent estimates of the burden of antimicrobial resistance are very significant, with more than half a million cases of infection with selected antibiotic-resistant bacteria or new emerging resistant pathogens occurring in Europe; of note, data regarding antimicrobial resistance in low-income countries are largely unknown, increasing the overall risk of mortality, in particular in surgical procedures

Health care workers (HCWs) represent a high-risk population for hepatitis infection. The study aimed to assess the level of knowledge of nurses regarding hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. A cross-sectional study was conducted from September 2020 to November 2020. A total of 300 nurses were included in the study. Data were collected using a self-administered structured questionnaire, and analyzed by using SPSS (22). The results revealed that the mean knowledge score among nurses was 62.55% of the information tested in our questionnaire. Breast cancer, being the most prevalent cancer among women worldwide, leads to about 400,000 deaths yearly. All women should have a basic understanding of breast self-examination (BSE). This study aims at determining university students’ knowledge, behavior and beliefs about breast cancer and BSE. Data were obtained using a structured questionnaire that was distributed over 1200 female university students in 6 Palestinian universities. The questionnaire evaluated the students’ knowledge, behavior, and attitudes about breast cancer and BSE.
