HRQL is an important aspect of chronic illnesses such as diabetes and needs to be considered by healthcare providers. It is one of the most important outcomes of healthcare interventions, representing an integral public health goal in Healthy People 2000, 2010, and 2020. Arab Americans (AAs), one of the most rapidly growing minorities in United States, tend to have a high prevalence of type 2 diabetes.
