Abstract
Identifying and treating tobacco use disorder through screening and evidence-based intervention is necessary to assist all tobacco users to quit and or to decrease typical tobacco-linked health risks. The findings from the literature review suggested that the implementation of the technology-enhanced 5As model (asking, advising, assessing, assisting and arranging for follow up) approach might serve as a reminder to clinicians to assess tobacco use, and improve patient outcomes in tobacco cessation care.
