Development Of Heat And Sodiummetabisulfite Treated Fullfat Soybeans In Broiler Rations, Kemal Küçükersan, Şaki̇r Doğan Tuncer, Seher Küçükersan, Ayhan Atasever

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

This study was carried out to determine the effects of heat and sodiummetabisulfite treated soybeans in broiler rations on live weight, feed consumption, feed efficiency, and the weights of the liver, pancreas, kidney, spleen and heart and the severity of lesions in these organs. A total of 160 one- day - old Hysex Brown broiler chicks were used in the experiment. There were eight groups each containing 20 chicks. The experiment lasted seven weeks. In the group which was fed the ration containing raw soybean, live weight decreased 49.08% compared to the control group. While the raw soybean caused considerable …

The Effects Of Physical Texture Of Feed And Feeding Regime On The Gizzards Of Broilers, Bahri̇ Yildiz, Hüseyi̇n Yildiz, Ali̇ Bahadir Jan 2001

The Effects Of Physical Texture Of Feed And Feeding Regime On The Gizzards Of Broilers, Bahri̇ Yildiz, Hüseyi̇n Yildiz, Ali̇ Bahadir

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

The effects of physical texture of feed and feeding regimes in broiler's gizzards were observed. Firstly, chicks were divided into three groups. The chicks in groups A, B and C were fed on mash, mash + pellet and crumble + pellet respectively. These groups were exposed to ad libitum and meal feeding, and grit was added to this feed. On day fourty-two, the chicks were sacrificed and the characteristics of the gizzard were observed. The impact of adding grit to the broiler rations on the weight and volume of the gizzard of broiler having ad-libitum rations was investigated. Statistically significant …

The Effects Of Vitamin E On Some Blood Parameters In Broilers, Murat Arslan, Mukaddes Özcan, Erdal Matur, Ülker Çöteli̇oğlu, Eli̇f Ergül Jan 2001

The Effects Of Vitamin E On Some Blood Parameters In Broilers, Murat Arslan, Mukaddes Özcan, Erdal Matur, Ülker Çöteli̇oğlu, Eli̇f Ergül

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of different doses of vitamin E supplemented into the diet on erythrocyte osmotic fragility and some biochemical parameters. Sixty broilers were randomly divided into four groups of 15 each (one control and three experimental groups). Experimental groups (D1, D2, D3) were fed with a diet supplemented with 100, 200 and 300 ppm of vitamin E respectively. The plasma vitamin E level, and other blood parameters, of all the test subjects were measured in the fifth and seventh week of the study. The plasma vitamin E level of D2 and D3 …

The Effect Of Dietary Phytase Supplementation At Different Levels On Tibial Bone Characteristics And Strength In Broilers, Neşe Kocabağli Jan 2001

The Effect Of Dietary Phytase Supplementation At Different Levels On Tibial Bone Characteristics And Strength In Broilers, Neşe Kocabağli

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

The influence of various levels of supplemental phytase on P and Ca availability was investigated using morphometric indices and the bone strength of tibiotarsi in broilers. Forty tibiotarsi were used from the Ross 308 male broilers fed corn-soybean meal based diets. Dietary treatments were: 1) Control: diet with DCP, 2) Negative control: control diet without DCP, 3) Control diet + 300 U of phytase/kg, 4) Control diet + 500 U of phytase/kg, 5) Control diet + 700 U of phytase/kg. There were no significant differences among the groups in the mean for tibiotarsal weight and length and also for the …

The Effects Of Enzyme And Probiotic Supplementation To Diets On Broiler Performance, Mustafa Mi̇di̇lli̇, Şaki̇r Doğan Tuncer

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

This study was carried out to determine the effect of the supplementation of enzyme and probiotic to broiler feeds based on barley and wheat on broiler performance, dressing percentage, the small intestinal length and weight, liver and abdominal fat weights, intestinal viscosity and the percentage of sticky droppings. In this experiment, 600 one - day - old Hubbard broiler chicks were used. This study was performed on four treatment groups, each containing 150 chicks. One of the groups was the control group and the others were the experimental groups. Each treatment group was divided into 6 replicates of 25 chicks. …

Use Of Sunflower Meal With Enzyme Mixture Substituted For Soybean Meal In Broiler Diets, Fi̇gen Kirkpinar, Hati̇ce Basmacioğlu Jan 2001

Use Of Sunflower Meal With Enzyme Mixture Substituted For Soybean Meal In Broiler Diets, Fi̇gen Kirkpinar, Hati̇ce Basmacioğlu

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

The study was carried out to investigate the effects of sunflower meal with an enzyme mixture containing \alpha-amylase, ß-glucanase, cellulase, lipase and protease substituted for soybean meal in broiler diets on performance, intestinal weight, viscosity and pH, as well as the frequency of sticky droppings and abdominal fat. In the trial, a total of 960 one-day-old Avian broiler chicks were used. The trial lasted 6 weeks. A total of 12 experimental diets were supplied ad libitum. Dietary treatments consisted of 15%, 25%, 35% soybean meal, or sunflower meal or sunflower meal with the enzyme mixture (0.05% and 0.10%). Enzyme supplementation …

Effects Of Various Calcium Levels And Anionic Salts On Blood Acid-Base Balance, Growth Performance And Development Of Tibial Dyscondroplasia In Broilers, Şeri̇fe Karamüftüoğlu, Neşe Kocabağli Jan 2001

Effects Of Various Calcium Levels And Anionic Salts On Blood Acid-Base Balance, Growth Performance And Development Of Tibial Dyscondroplasia In Broilers, Şeri̇fe Karamüftüoğlu, Neşe Kocabağli

Turkish Journal of Veterinary & Animal Sciences

The aim of this trial was to investigate the effects of chlorine and phosphate salts in the diet, and 2 different levels of diet Ca,on the acid-based balance, growth performance and development of tibial dyscondroplasia (TD)in broiler chicks. Three hundred Ross X PM_3, 1-day-old broiler chicks were used during the 5-week trial.Chicks were divided into 6 groups. Three groups (2 experimental and 1 control)were given diets with Ca levels near the bottom limit of the normal requirement (starter 0.90%and grower 0.80%)and 3 groups (2 experimental and one control)were given diets with higher Ca levels (starter 1.25%and grower 1.15%). No anionic salt …
