The purpose of this study was to investigate the efficiency of various supportive treatments on the restoration of anaemia in theileriosis. A total of 20 cattle infected with theileriosis received intramuscularly a single dose of buparvaquone (2.5 mg/kg-1 bw) and were divided into 4 equal groups according to the different therapy options: whereas no supportive treatment was applied in group 1, administrations of vitamin B complex, antioxidant vitamins (A, D, E and C), minerals and trace elements were performed in groups 2, 3 and 4, respectively. The clinical outcome of PCSO-524 application in the treatment of canine osteoarthritis and spinal disorderwas studied at the Small Animal Teaching Hospital, Chulalongkorn University. Eighty-four dogs were included inour study. Thirty-one dogs showed signs of osteoarthritis (OA) in both hip joints and shoulder joints; 33 dogs had OAin stifle joints from cranial cruciate ligament rupture; and 20 dogs had neurological signs of the cauda equinasyndrome. All affected dogs were treated by 50 mg/ 10 kg of PCSO-524, PO for twelve weeks. Comparison Of The Efficacy Of Enrofloxacin Against Escherichia Coli Or Pasteurella Multocida Infection In Chickens, Visut Rawiwet, Piyarat Chansiripornchai, Niwat Chansiripornchai

This study compared the efficacy of enrofloxacin, given immediately or 6 hrs after infection against Escherichia coli or Pasteurella multocida. In the first experiment, thirty, 12-week-old male layer chickens were divided into 3 groups of 10 each. Chickens in group 1, 2 and 3 were infected with E. coli serotype O78 by left thoracic air sac injection. Group 1 was given enrofloxacin (10 mg/kg), dissolved in drinking water immediately receiving E. coli. Group 2 was given enrofloxacin 6 hrs after receiving E. coli.
