Background: Biceps tenodesis (BT) is one alternative treatment to repair of superior labrum anterior to posterior (SLAP) tears. It can be performed as an arthroscopy or open procedure. While there have been studies comparing the outcomes of SLAP repair procedures with BT for the treatment of SLAP tears, literature comparing arthroscopic and open BT for the treatment of SLAP tears is limited. Additionally, no previous study has specifically examined the outcomes of these procedures in female patients.

Abstract: Introduction Both absorbable and non-absorbable sutures are routinely used for closure of arthroscopic portal incisions. However, current literature assessing patient satisfaction using either suture type in knee arthroscopic portal closure is limited.

Purpose/Hypothesis The purpose of this study is to evaluate patient outcomes and satisfaction following wound closure with absorbable (Monocryl) versus non-absorbable (Nylon) sutures during knee arthroscopy.

Study Design Randomized Controlled Trial (Level I) Methods Patients over 18 years undergoing primary knee arthroscopy were identified during procedure scheduling. Small joint arthroscopy can be utilized for septic arthritis, synovitis, osteochondral lesions, arthritis, and various other pathologies. However, information regarding arthroscopy of the first metatarsophalangeal joint (MTPJ) is limited in the literature. This case report discusses the use of arthroscopy for septic arthritis of the 1st MTPJ.

Arthroscopic medial meniscus transplantation can be a daunting procedure for even the most skilled surgeon. While all-inside suture fixation devices have improved, the ability to successfully perform this procedure via arthroscopy is reliant upon the surgeon's ability to utilize a variety of fixation techniques. Based upon the review of the literature, this paper is the first of it's kind describing the methodology and algorithm for completing an arthroscopic medial meniscus transplant using four techniques.

Osteoarthritis (OA) of the ankle is a common disease and it is estimated that almost 1% of the world’s adult population have a painful ankle. Often in patients who fail conservative treatment, the use of an MRI is deemed necessary to identify pathologies. Bone marrow lesions (BMLs) seen on MRI have been recognized as a source of the ankle pain. Majority of the BMLs fluctuate in size over time and are seen as hyperintense lesions on MRI.We present MRI findings of a patient following arthroscopy with subchondroplasty.
