Background: Delayed wound healing is a key factor in the development of chronic wound complications so we can utilize the wound healing promotion properties of platelet rich plasma in decreasing the incidence of these complications. Patients and Methods: A total number of 50 patients with open wounds resulting after surgical debridement of various types of soft tissue infection were included in this study, two groups with 25 patients for each were divided randomly.
