Music is a very influential part of life. Music has been linked to psychological effects on exercise, however, there are mixed outcomes when it comes to its effects on exercise performance. The purpose of this study was to test music’s influence on anaerobic performance on the Wingate test. Subjects included 20 track and field athletes at a Division I school in South Carolina. The methodology used in this research was a blind randomized cross over design. Twenty college-age track and field athletes participated in two Wingate tests.
