Infant mortality is the passing of a child before his/her first birthday. With the fifth highest infant mortality rate in the United States, infant mortality is increasingly becoming a larger and more detrimental problem, especially in South Linden, Ohio. Out of every one thousand children in South Linden, 20.3 of them will not make it to their first birthday. However, despite the staggering statistics, many are not aware of the issue, and counter infant mortality, including those who live in South Linden.
