Background: This study aimed to determine the differences in the workplace empowerment of nursing faculty as it relates to their demographic information.

Methods: A comparative cross-sectional study was conducted among 65 nurse educators at the College of Nursing, University of Hail, Saudi Arabia. The data were collected through a survey questionnaire between January and March 2019.

Results: Significant differences were found regarding gender and opportunity (p < 0.017), support (p < 0.020), resources (p < 0.022), job activities scale (JAS; p < 0.005), organizational relationship scale (ORS; p < 0.011), and marital status on resources (p < 0.031). In comparison, gender to information and all of the other demographic variables such as marital status (except resources), years of experience, age, nationality, educational qualifications, and specialization were found insignificant to opportunity, support, resources, information, JAS, and ORS, where all of their p-values were more than 0.05.

Nutrition and child health programs were integrated into the extension programs from 2016-2018 of the Occidental Mindoro State College, in partnership with the local government unit at the municipal and barangay levels. This paper presents the health extension tools and techniques used in preventative care and the promotion of child health services in the indigenous community of Sitio Bato Singit, in the Occidental Mindoro Province, Philippines. Health education, small group techniques, demonstrations, storytelling, informal talks, and open forums were the methods and techniques employed to implement the program. Kota Sehat merupakan proyek World Health Organization (WHO) yang diluncurkan pada pertengahan tahun 1980-an dengan mengambil tempat untuk yang pertama kali adalah kota-kota di Eropa. Konsep Kota Sehat adalah konsep lama sekaligus baru. “Lama” berarti telah lama manusia berusaha untuk membuat kota lebih sehat sejak awal peradaban perkotaan (urban civilization). “Baru” dalam manifestasinya sebagai satu sarana utama promosi kesehatan – kesehatan masyarakat baru (new public health) – dalam pencarian Sehat untuk Semua (Health for All). Lingkungan masyarakat kota yang bebas kebakaran dapat tercipta melalui upaya pencegahan dan pemadaman kebakaran dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan model mitigasi kesiapsiagaan kebakaran berbasis masyarakat. Metoda kualitatif wawancara mendalam dilakukan terhadap 30 informan terpilih di Jabodetabek meliputi aparat kecamatan, kelurahan, Lembaga Swadaya Masyarakat, dan Suku Dinas Pemadam Kebakaran. Mayoritas informan mengenal organisasi Barisan Sukarelawan Kebakaran, tetapi dalam pelaksanaan ditemukan beberapa kendala antara lain meliputi tidak ada honorarium, status pekerjaan, dan anggota penduduk musiman. Hal tersebut berakibat banyak anggota yang berhenti dan sulit merekrut anggota baru.
