Background: One of the leading causes of death in the college age population is suicide. While colleges provide opportunities in the acquisition of knowledge and skills for future careers; those same opportunities can also bring about challenges that put students at risk for suicide such as: dealing with their mental health issues, finding and maintaining support system, financial costs, and the pressure from ensuring academic success.
