Chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP) is a recurrent and progressive disease that causes proximal, symmetrical extremity weakness. The disease is diagnosed using clinical features, electrophysiologic testing, albumino-cytological disassociation in the cerebrospinal fluid, and sural nerve plexus biopsy. However, because of the low sensitivity of diagnostic criteria and other similar neuropathies, including diabetic polyneuropathy (DPN), accurate diagnosis is difficult. Differentiating between these diseases is especially important as CIDP’s changes are reversible and DPN’s are not. Importance: Urgent care (UC) centers are a growing option to address children's acute care needs, which may cause unanticipated changes in health care use.

Objectives: To identify factors associated with high UC reliance among children enrolled in Medicaid and examine the association between UC reliance and outpatient health care use.

Design, Setting, and Participants: A retrospective cohort study used deidentified data on 4 133 238 children from the Marketscan Medicaid multistate claims database to calculate UC reliance and outpatient health care use. Background: Primary care providers are increasingly challenged with managing individuals with behavioral health needs. Evidence suggests that integrating behavioral health services into primary care can improve individual health outcomes and can improve access to behavioral health services.

Objectives: The purpose of this project is to evaluate key outcomes following the evidencebased integration of behavioral health services into a primary care practice.

Clinical sites for family medicine clerkship have accumulated several years of student community health projects, many of which are written patient education materials. Anonymous surveys elicited the perspectives of medical professionals and faculty on the utilization of these projects in their medical practice. Medical professionals thought the community health projects were valuable educational experiences but cited lack of time as a barrier to utilization in patient care.

Due to state legalization and increased access to cannabis, there is increasing use of cannabis in Vermont and nationwide. Cannabis is used medically for certain qualifying conditions in Vermont in addition to recreationally. In a recent study they found 45% of adult primary care patients in Vermont had used cannabis in the last year and only 18% of patients reported their clinician as being a good source of information regarding cannabis.
