Background and Purpose. Returning athletes to high level activity following surgery is a delicate decision. The purpose of this case study is to describe the physical therapy intervention and the results an athlete following an arthroscopic Bankart repair.
Description. A 24 year old male, professional surfer, underwent an arthroscopic Bankart repair to the right shoulder and physical therapy was initiated at week 4 as ordered by his orthopedic surgeon.
