This is a Brazilian nationwide analysis of the burden of type 2 diabetes mellitus along the 26 states and federal district, between 1990 up to 2019. In summary, through spatiotemporal Gaussian regression methods, we estimated the attributable share of T2DM for prevalence, deaths, DALYs, YLLs and YLDs in Brazilian population. Moreover, we sought to investigate the behavior of top risk factors for T2DM and the attributable impact in burden of disease outcomes accordingly. Pântanos alimentares são locais onde as opções de alimentos não saudáveis prevalecem sobre os saudáveis. O consumo de alimentos saudáveis pode reduzir o risco de mortalidade por câncer e por doenças cardiovasculares (DCV), mas residir em áreas de pântanos alimentares reduz esse acesso. Este estudo objetivou analisar a associação entre pântanos alimentares e mortalidade por câncer e DCV no Rio Grande do Sul (RS) em 2019. Estudo ecológico e espacial a partir de dados secundários públicos. A identificação dos pântanos baseia-se na densidade de estabelecimentos não saudáveis (que vendem principalmente alimentos ultraprocessados) por 10.000 habitantes.
