The aims of this study were to evaluate patient's perception before and after receiving dental implant therapy and to investigate patient's perception, expectation, and satisfaction of dental implant treated by postgraduate dental students and faculty members. This study was designed with a quantitative cross-sectional technique. The data were collected by 3 questionnaires, from patients who intended to receive dental implant treatment during September 2017 to February 2019. Objective: (1) to compare the prophylactic effect of a single versus a multiple dose antibiotic regimens and (2) to determine factors related to surgical site infection in orthognathic surgery. Materials and methods: Medical records of patients underwent orthognathic surgery in the Faculty of Dentistry, Chulalongkorn University between 2014 and 2016 were extracted for medical data including demographic data, American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA)-classified past medical history, orthognathic surgical procedures and complications, prophylactic antibiotic regimen, and surgical site infection. Assessment Of Attitudes And Knowledge Of General Dental Practitioners In Providing Implant Maintenance, Aimwalee Rudeejaraswan

This study aimed to survey the attitudes and knowledge of Thai general dental practitioners (GDPs) in proving dental implant maintenance care. The online questionnaire was sent to Thai GDPs who graduated between 2000 and 2016. Of the returned 435 questionnaires, 429 completely filled were included for analysis. 76% of the participants were female and 24% were male. Half of the participants were aged 28-33 years old and 78% of the participants have been working as a GDP 10 years or below. Objectives: The aim of this study was to compare the accuracy of implant placement in terms of deviations related to the virtual plan between static and dynamic computer assisted implant surgery (CAIS) systems in single tooth space. Materials & Methods: 60 single implants were randomly placed using two difference CAIS systems by one surgeon. Preoperative CBCT transferred to implant planning software were used to plan the virtual implant position. Objective: This randomized controlled clinical trial aimed to compared the accuracy of implant position between static and mental Computer Assisted Implant Surgery (CAIS) in single tooth gap. Materials and methods: 52 patients who received 60 implants in single tooth gap, randomized equally into static or mental CAIS. A major complication from Bilateral Sagittal Split Ramus Osteotomy (BSSRO) is inferior alveolar nerve injured that manifest as neurosensory disturbance (NSD) on the lower lip, chin. Although the NSD is not a life-threatening problem but it impacts the patient's daily life. Vitamin B is commonly used to treat peripheral neuropathy but it is only few study for NSD from BSSRO.
