Clostridium Difficile: An Investigation On A Medical Surgical Unit, Neftali Cabezudo

The objectives for this CNL Internship Project were to: (1) identify the strongest contributors to the rising trend of Clostridium difficile cases on this medical-surgical unit, (2) review all Clostridium difficile cases for correlational factors that are of significant relevance, (3) examine current unit practices and adherence to established policies, and (4) provide recommendations for enhancing existing prevention strategies. The population examined included male adults between 56-83 years old being treated for other medical conditions.
