Abstract Objective: The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between an individual with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) perceptions of why falls happen and if receiving fall prevention education is beneficial to reducing falls. Methods: An anonymous survey was developed by the researcher in order to learn more about individuals’ personal experiences relating to falls, fear of falling, and fall prevention education. Surveys were used to identify if participants have ever experienced a fall and subsequently examine the relationships between falls and fall education. Lymphedema, swelling due to impaired flow of lymph fluid, is a result of interrupted lymph circulation of the lymphatic system (McLafferty, Hendry, & Farley, 2012). This project aims to review and synthesize literature regarding the physiology of the lymphatic system, treatment of lymphedema involving the use of manual lymph drainage (MLD), and technology advances in the use of negative pressure in treatment and intervention in lymph flow. In addition to the literature review and synthesis, one Certified Lymphedema Therapist and physical therapist will be interviewed and asked to provide commentary on her experience using an advanced technology, the LymphaTouch®.

The purpose of this study was to provide an educational resource for occupational therapy (OT) practitioners who are interested in delivering professional services internationally through volunteer work. An in-depth exploration of four faith-based organizations, emphasizing the unique perspectives of the organizations in terms of their completed missions and outcomes, and how these align with social justice was completed. This study also aimed to provide information about the various spiritual and/or lifestyle beliefs each organization uses as a philosophical basis for which they conduct their missions.
