Background: Obesity has become a serious public health problem globally. Non-alcoholic pancreatic lipomatosis is characterized by pancreatic fat infiltration or pancreatic islet steatosis resulting in abnormal adipokine secretion, insulin resistance, impaired βcell function, and decreased insulin secretion.

Aim: To assess the relationship between non-alcoholic fatty pancreatic disease and type 2 diabetes mellitus among Egyptian patients.

Background: The aberrant adhesion of placental villi to the underlying myometrium in the absence of decidua basalis is known as placenta accreta. Objectives: To compare the pre- and post-biological treatment left ventricular (LV) systolic performance in a group of patients with active RA by global longitudinal strain (GLS), a marker of myocardial deformation.

Background: There is growing evidence of the utilization of regional anesthesia in pediatric patients scheduled for lower abdominal surgery.

Aim: To assess the effectiveness of ultrasound-guided quadratus lumborum block (QLB) with ultrasound-guided caudal block in pediatric lower abdominal surgeries.

Patients and Methods: This randomized controlled study included 90 patients. Patients were randomly allocated to receive either QLB, caudal block, or general anesthesia. The primary endpoint is the cumulative opioid consumption within 24 hours following surgery.
