Aim The aim of the study was to explore the tobacco and alcohol-related health promotion needs of people with mild/moderate learning disabilities. Methodology & Methods The design of the study was grounded in the principles of the Medical Research Council’s Framework for the development and evaluation of complex healthcare interventions. Specifically, a developmental approach was adopted, where evidence was gathered and data collected and synthesised to inform the development of subsequent interventions.
