This checklist for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP) skills and competencies was developed to assess, document, and verify diagnostic and psychomotor skills taught in the AGACNP curricula.

The skills checklist is divided in two sections; data collection (i.e., vital signs recording and review of systems [ROS], physical assessment) and psychomotor skills (i.e., basic wound management, musculoskeletal, general ultrasonography, airway management, hemodynamics, special procedures and others).

In addition this verification book include the rubrics for students' weekly Lab evaluation and final Lab evaluation that includes appraisal of diagnostic skills competencies and skills integration challenge.

Non-ventilator hospital acquired pneumonia (NV-HAP) impacts 1 in 100 hospitalized patients and is a significant patient concern due to its negative clinical outcomes. Many factors play a role in NV-HAP development: oral health, oral care, microaspiration risk, and the oral microbiome. Little is known about how the oral microbiome alters during hospitalization. This study explored changes in the oral microbiome of non-ventilated hospitalized patients over time and analyzed the relationship between the oral microbiome, pre-hospital residence, and NV-HAP. Patients admitted to an adult intensive care unit (ICU) are at risk of developing an acute condition known as ICU delirium, which can impact patients’ length of hospital stay and increase short term and 6-month mortality. The cause of ICU delirium is multifactorial, and lack of quality sleep is a known risk factor. Patients’ sleep in the ICU is frequently interrupted by clinicians involved in their care and equipment alarms. The purpose of this study was to better understand the concept of empowerment among caregivers of children with asthma. This study investigated what is already known about empowerment among caregivers and the instruments available to measure caregiver empowerment. This study then examined the relationship between social support and caregiver empowerment as well as income level and empowerment amongst caregivers of children with asthma. This study used the Federal Poverty Guidelines, Family Empowerment Scale and MOS Social Support Survey to measure these relationships.
