Summary
Chapter three described the methodology for the study of the effect of peer counseling therapy sessions on the level of self-esteem of the substance abuse student. The Piers-Harris Self-Concept Scale will be used to collect data from two groups of substance abuse adolescent students. One group consists of substance abuse adolescents participating in peer counseling therapy sessions. Treatment of the data will include descriptive statistics for both demographic and study variables, and the independent T-tests between the groups' total raw subscale scores and independent T-test and chi-square tests on demographic variables.
