Utilizing individualized exercise training programs that are inclusive of appropriate resistance training protocols can attenuate the deleterious effects of sarcopenia and enhance quality of life, functional capacity and also diminish its negative effect on independence. Nurses should be educated in how the utilization of proper resistance training (RT) in individuals can be used to ameliorate the effect of sarcopenia, especially considering its relationship to Quality of Life (QoL), functional capacity and independence. BACKGROUND:

Changes in health-related quality of life (HRQoL) are more regularly being monitored during the first year after injury. Monitoring changes in HRQoL using spatial cluster analysis can potentially identify concentrations of geographic areas with injury survivors with similar outcomes, thereby improving how interventions are delivered or in how outcomes are evaluated.

METHODS:

Many life-saving treatments are employed to treat patients with debilitating diseases result in adverse side-effects. Prominent among these symptoms are nausea and anxiety. Although science has made strides in improving patient tolerance, little is understood regarding the nature and relationship of these symptoms. Nausea and anxiety affect patients concurrently, and the experience of each symptom is often vague and undefined relative to the other.
