Background: This study aimed to examine and compare the age, body mass index (BMI), physical activity (PA), and quality of life (QOL) of third-trimester Turkish pregnant women with and without a diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM).

Methods: A comparative study was conducted in the obstetrics clinic of a university hospital in Turkey, and it included 210 women (GDM women = 105 and non-GDM women = 105). Personal Information Form, International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ), and World Health Organization Quality of Life-Short Form-Turkish (WHOQOL-Bref-TR) were used.

Intervention For Treating Sarcopenia Among Older Residents In A Skilled Nursing Facility, David A. Hernandez, Susan E. Hueck, Donna-Marie Phyllis Lanton

The incidence of sarcopenia, a geriatric syndrome characterized by the progressive and generalized loss of muscle quantity or quality, increases with age and is associated with adverse health and quality of life outcomes. A 12-week strength training intervention program (STIP) was designed to improve measures of muscle mass, muscle strength, physical performance, and quality of life in elderly patients with sarcopenia. Data were collected on these measures at 4-week intervals over 12 weeks. Results showed that the STIP was an effective intervention for reducing the characteristics associated with sarcopenia. Background: Internalized stigma is defined as individuals’ acceptance of negative stereotypes created by society and then their alienation from society. Psoriasis is a dermatological disease that affects the quality of life. The study evaluated the internalized stigma and quality of life of patients diagnosed with psoriasis.

Methods: This cross sectional study enrolled 222 patients. Data were collected using the internalized stigma scale and the dermatology life quality index questionnaires. Data were analyzed using the Cronbach’s alpha.

Introduction: In India, the entire population is prone to iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) due to iodine deficiency in the soil of the subcontinent and consequently, the food derived from it. People with a diagnosis of hypothyroidism report a decreased quality of life (QOL). The study aimed to determine the prevalence and QOL of people who were diagnosed with IDD. วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลว และทำนายความรู้สึกไม่แน่นอนใน ความเจ็บป่วย ความแตกฉานด้านสุขภาพ และการสนับสนุนทางสังคมที่มีต่อคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วย ภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลว \nรูปแบบการวิจัย: การวิจัยเชิงความสัมพันธ์พยากรณ์ \nวิธีดำเนินการวิจัย: กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวอายุมากกว่าหรือเท่ากับ 18 ปี ที่มา ติดตามรับการรักษา ณ คลินิกโรคหัวใจ โรงพยาบาลสรรพสิทธิประสงค์ จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี จำนวน 85 ราย เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล แบบสอบถามความ รู้สึกไม่แน่นอนในความเจ็บป่วยฉบับชุมชน แบบประเมินความแตกฉานด้านสุขภาพขั้นพื้นฐานสำหรับ ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลว แบบวัดการช่วยเหลือทางสังคมแบบพหุมิติ และแบบสอบถามวิถีชีวิตของ ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลว ผ่านการตรวจสอบความตรงตามเนื้อหาและวิเคราะห์ความเที่ยงแล้ว มีค่า ความเที่ยงมากกว่า 0.80 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา สัมประสิทธิ์สหสัมพันธ์ของเพียร์สัน \nและการวิเคราะห์ถดถอยแบบเข้าพร้อมกัน \nผลการวิจัย: \n1. ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวมีคุณภาพชีวิตอยู่ในระดับปานกลางร้อยละ 54.1 \n2. ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวมีความแตกฉานด้านสุขภาพอยู่ในระดับไม่เพียงพอร้อยละ 47.1\n3. ความรู้สึกไม่แน่นอนในความเจ็บป่วยเพียงตัวแปรเดียวที่สามารถทํานายคุณภาพชีวิตของ ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวได้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (B = 651, p < .001) \n4. ความรู้สึกไม่แน่นอนในความเจ็บป่วย ความแตกฉานด้านสุขภาพ การสนับสนุนทางสังคม สามารถร่วมกันทำนายคุณภาพชีวิตของผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวได้ร้อยละ 46.8 อย่างมีนัยสําคัญทางสถิติ AWANG (R2 = .468, p < .001) \nสรุปและข้อเสนอแนะ: \nการศึกษาครั้งนี้พบว่าความรู้สึกไม่แน่นอนในความเจ็บป่วยสามารถทำนายคุณภาพ ชีวิตได้สูง จึงควรนำผลการวิจัยที่ได้มาพัฒนาโปรแกรมการดูแลผู้ป่วย และมีการทดสอบประสิทธิผลของ โปรแกรม เพื่อลดความรู้สึกไม่แน่นอนในความเจ็บป่วยที่จะส่งผลให้ผู้ป่วยภาวะหัวใจล้มเหลวมีคุณภาพชีวิต ที่ดีต่อไป
