Problem: Many Americans have begun to seek alternative and natural remedies for common medical conditions previously treated by prescription drugs. As highly trained clinical professionals, nurse practitioners (NP) are responsible for adequately educating patients about their clinical disease process and treatment options. Problem: Despite efforts to improve organizational metrics for nurse satisfaction and retention, nurse manager satisfaction/retention remains a challenge for many hospitals.

Purpose: This study sought to explore factors that impact nurse manager satisfaction/retention by implementing an intervention that could positively influence work life balance, thereby improving satisfaction and retention in areas with high nurse manager turnover.
