Carbidopa/Levodopa: A Winning Combination, Bridget Roberts

David Robinson arrives at his healthcare provider’s office reporting gradual worsening of his Parkinson’s disease (PD) symptoms. Although his current medication has helped over the past 5 years, it has recently lost effectiveness despite dosage and frequency adjustments. The healthcare provider prescribes carbidopa/levodopa (Sinemet) to be used in combination with Mr. Robinson’s current treatment to decrease the signs and symptoms of his disease.
