The fact that patients with a viral respiratory infection are more likely to develop a bacterial infection and the recently reported prevalence of bacterial co-infection among COVID-19 patients in the ICU and its association with serious disease complications. However, the role of co-bacterial infection still needs a lot of study and research. This study was designed to investigate the frequency and etiology of bacterial infections in patients with COVID-19 admitted to the ICU and exploring their antibiogram sensitivity.
