Traumatic dislocation of the posterior tibial tendon (PTT) is a rare and often misdiagnosed injury. The limited number of cases, ambiguous results of initial imaging studies, and presence of symptoms similar to medial ankle sprains can contribute to unsuccessful long-term treatment.
