A Quality Improvement Investigation Of Pediatric Asthma Services For Patients And Their Families, Tina Dimartino

This quality improvement project sought to identify attributes of pediatric patients with asthma and their caregivers at a hospital serving pediatric patients and families in Bronx, NY. Anonymous, self-report surveys focused on rates of asthma inpatient admission and emergency department visits, general understanding of asthma, current services utilized in the hospital and interest in the potential expansion of existing services. Additionally, the project explored the prospective development of the current educational healthcare video system within the hospital.
