Background: Yersinia enterocolotica is being recognized as an important bacterial cause of acute gastrointestinal infection. The association of yersinia entrocolotica infections with acute appendicitis has been suggested (Tae Joon Son et. al, 2009). The aim to ascertain whether yersinia entrocolotica is a possible infectious agent in appendicitis in Shebin Elkom. We try to support or to deny this suggestion.
