Poverty is a multi-faceted global problem. Nurses and providers are front-line caregivers for this vulnerable population. In order to provide effective care, individuals must understand their own attitudes towards poverty. The purpose of this study was to evaluate for changes in Practical Nursing students’ attitudes towards poverty with the use of a poverty simulation based upon the Experiential Learning Theory. Participants were surveyed using the Short Form Attitudes towards Poverty (SFATP) tool.
