High ambient temperature (HTa) increased the respiration rate (RR) and rectal temperature (Tr) of dairy goats. The excess response resulted in acid-base imbalance, electrolyte imbalance, and systemic oxidative which could indirectly affect the mammary gland. Besides, HTa did directly alter cell function, and this has been proposed to be mediated by oxidative stress. We previously showed that high dietary cation and anion differences (DCAD) could decrease the HTa effect. In dairy cows, a high dose ascorbic acid (Asc) has been used to decrease oxidative stress. This study aimed to determine the effect of fingerroot powder supplementation on the performance of laying hens, egg quality, and malondialdehyde in the egg yolk. A total of 192 Hy-Line brown laying hens aged 43 weeks were divided into four treatment groups with 48 hens in each group (8 replicates; 6 birds each). The treatments were the control (basal diet), basal diet supplemented with vitamin E at 250 mg/kg, basal diet plus 20 g fingerroot powder/kg, and basal diet plus 40 g fingerroot powder/kg. Calcium oxalate (CaOx) urolithiasis is one of the most common stone components which frequently occurs in both humans and dogs. Hypercalciuria is one of the predisposing factors commonly found in both people and dogs with calcium urolithiasis. The genetic factors are also involved with the pathogenesis of stone formation, and the relationship between calcium handling and vitamin D receptor (VDR) polymorphisms has been demonstrated to be related to calcium urolithiasis in human populations. การศึกษาความหลากหลายของจีนเคซีนทั้ง 4 ชนิดในฐานะของจีนแคนดิแดท ที่มีผลต่อลักษณะการปริมาณน้ำนมในแพะจำนวน 65 ตัวแบ่งเป็นกลุ่มแพะที่มีบันทึกการให้ผลผลิตแล้วอย่างน้อย 1 ลำดับการให้นมและมีข้อมูลของลูกแพะ จำนวน 26 ตัว และกลุ่มแพะที่ไม่มีบันทึกการให้ผลผลิต จำนวน 35 ตัว จากการตรวจสอบความหลากหลายทางพันธุกรรมของจีนทั้ง 4 ชนิดด้วยวิธี DNA sequencing พบอัลลีลของจีนอัลฟาเอส 1 เคซีนทั้งหมด 3 ชนิด ได้แก่ A, C และ E มีความถี่ของอัลลีล เท่ากับ 0.577, 0.177 และ 0.246 ตามลำดับ มีความถี่จีโนไทป์ของ AA, AC, AE, CC และ EE เท่ากับ 0.292, 0.292, 0.277, 0.031 และ 0.108 ตามลำดับ จีนเบต้าเคซีน พบอัลลีลทั้งหมด 2 ชนิด ได้แก่ A และ F มีความถี่ของอัลลีล เท่ากับ 0.538 และ 0.462 ตามลำดับ มีความถี่จีโนไทป์ของ AA, AF และ FF เท่ากับ 0.246, 0.585 และ 0.169 ตามลำดับ จีนอัลฟาเอส 2 เคซีน พบอัลลีลทั้งหมด 2 ชนิด ได้แก่ A และ B มีความถี่ของอัลลีล เท่ากับ 0.862 และ 0.138 ตามลำดับ มีความถี่จีโนไทป์ของ AA และ AB เท่ากับ 0.723 และ …

ข้อมูลสุกรพันธุ์แท้แลนด์เรซ (Landrace, LR) ลาร์จไวท์ (Large White, LW) ดูรอค (Duroc, DR) และข้อมูลสุกรลูกผสมที่มาจากฟาร์มสุกรเชิงพาณิชย์ จำนวน 158,313 บันทึก เป็นข้อมูลของแม่สุกรที่คลอดในปี 2549 ถึง 2562 ถูกนำมาวิเคราะห์อิทธิพลของปัจจัยคงที่ด้วยวิธี GLM ในโปรแกรม SAS และประมาณค่าองค์ประกอบความแปรปรวนด้วยวิธี average information restricted maximum likelihood (AI - REML) ผลการศึกษาพบว่า พันธุ์สุกรและลำดับอุ้มท้องมีอิทธิพลต่อทุกลักษณะที่ทำการศึกษาอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P < 0.05) ฝูง - ปี - เดือนที่ผสมพันธุ์มีอิทธิพลต่อระยะเวลาอุ้มท้องของแม่สุกร (gestation length, GL) และจำนวนลูกสุกรแรกเกิดทั้งหมด (total number of piglets born, TB) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P < 0.05) ฝูง - ปี - เดือนที่แม่สุกรคลอดลูกมีอิทธิพลต่อจำนวนลูกสุกรเกิดมีชีวิต (number of piglets born alive, BA) จำนวนลูกสุกรตายแรกเกิด (number of stillborn piglets, SB) และน้ำหนักแรกเกิดเฉลี่ยของลูกสุกร (average birth weight, BW) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (P < 0.05) ค่าอัตราพันธุกรรมของ GL TB BA SB และ BW มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.20 ± 0.00, 0.10 ± 0.00, 0.09 ± 0.00, 0.03 ± 0.00 และ 0.12 ± 0.01 ตามลำดับ ค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง GL กับ TB และ GL กับ BA มีค่าใกล้ศูนย์ (P < 0.05) ไม่พบความสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง GL กับ SB และ GL กับ BW (P > 0.05) ค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง TB กับ BA มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.99 ± 0.00 ค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง TB กับ SB และ BA กับ SB มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.49 ± 0.05 และ 0.40 ± 0.05 ตามลำดับ และค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง TB กับ BW และ BA กับ BW มีค่าเท่ากับ -0.56 ± 0.03 และ -0.59 ± 0.02 ตามลำดับ แนวโน้มทางพันธุกรรมของ GL มีค่าเพิ่มขึ้น 0.02 ± 0.01 และ 0.03 ± 0.01 วันต่อปี ในสุกรพันธุ์ LR และ LW ตามลำดับ และมีค่าลดลงเท่ากับ -0.02 ± 0.01 วันต่อปี ในสุกรพันธุ์ 50LW …

However, the effects of long-term supplementation on general biological parameters in healthy adults is still insufficient. The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of 12-week astaxanthin supplementation on blood glucose, lipid profile and hematological parameters in healthy volunteers. Beta-cardiotoxin (ß-CTX), a novel protein isolated from the King cobra (Ophiophagus hannah) venom has previously been proposed as a beta-blocker candidate. However, cellular mechanisms of ß-CTX on cardiomyocyte is unknown. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of ß-CTX on isolated rat cardiomyocyte function and the cardiac myofibrillar activity, and to explore involvement of ß-adrenergic receptor (ß-AR) signaling pathway. ß-CTX was isolated and purified using two-step chromatographic method and confirmed by N-terminal sequencer. The purposes of this study were to establish a database of the carbohydrate content of medications and investigate carbohydrate content of medications in epileptic children treated with ketogenic diet (KD) at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital. One hundred sixty-nine KD order forms in 3 events (KD initiation, follow-up visit, and hospital re-admission) for epileptic children whose aged younger than 18 years old during 2009-2017 were selected. Clinical and nutritional data were obtained from medical records and KD order forms from the pediatric nutrition unit. งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาผลของการใช้กากชา ต่อประสิทธิภาพการใช้อาหาร การย่อยได้ปรากฏ การเปลี่ยนแปลงของเมทาโบไลท์ในเลือด และการผลิตก๊าซมีเทน ในอาหารที่ใช้เลี้ยงแพะนมลูกผสม วางแผนการวิจัยแบบสลับ (3 x 3 crossover design) โดยใช้แพะนมลูกผสมพันธุ์ซาแนนจำนวน 9 ตัว น้ำหนักเฉลี่ย 30 ± 3.50 กิโลกรัม เป็นแม่แพะที่ผ่านการคลอดมาแล้ว (multiparous) และอยู่ในช่วงให้ผลผลิตน้ำนมหลังคลอด (lactation) การทดลองแบ่งออกเป็น 2 ช่วง โดยในช่วง 14 วันแรกจะเป็นช่วงของการปรับตัว ช่วงที่เหลืออีก 7 วันจะเป็นช่วงของการเก็บตัวอย่างและข้อมูล แพะแต่ละตัวได้รับอาหารทั้งสามสูตรที่มีการเสริมกากชาลงในสัดส่วนที่ 0 5 และ 10 เปอร์เซ็นต์น้ำหนักแห้งในรูปของอาหารผสมเสร็จ (Total mixed ration; TMR) (กลุ่มที่ 1 2 และ 3 ตามลำดับ) มีการคำนวณระดับโปรตีนและพลังงานเท่ากันทุกสูตร (isonitrogenous and isocaloric diets) ทำการเก็บตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ อาหาร เลือด ปัสสาวะ มูล น้ำนม และของเหลวจากกระเพาะรูเมน เพื่อที่จะประเมินค่าพารามิเตอร์ที่สังเกตหลายชนิด ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ไม่มีความแตกต่างกันทางสถิติในกลุ่มทดลองของปริมาณการกินได้ ผลผลิตน้ำนม ค่าเมทาโบไลท์ในเลือด (กลูโคส ไตรกลีเซอไรด์ โปรตีนรวม) ค่าพีเอชในกระเพาะรูเมน กรดไขมันระเหย (volatile fatty acids; VFAs) ค่าอัลลานโทอิน (allantoin) ค่าสมดุลไนโตรเจนและผลผลิตก๊าซมีเทน ส่วนประกอบของโปรตีนในน้ำนมในกลุ่มที่ 3 มีความแตกต่างกันทางสถิติ (p<0.05) เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มที่ 1 และ 2 ค่าการย่อยได้ของวัตถุแห้งในกลุ่มที่ 3 สูงกว่าในกลุ่มที่ 2 อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) แต่ไม่แตกต่างจากกลุ่มที่ 1 ส่วนกลุ่มที่ 2 มีค่าการย่อยได้ของสารอินทรีย์ โปรตีนและ NDF ต่ำที่สุดในทุกกลุ่ม อย่างไรก็ตาม กลุ่มที่ 3 มีค่าการย่อยได้ของ NDF และ ADF สูงที่สุดเมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับกลุ่มอื่น จากผลการศึกษาสรุปได้ว่า สามารถใช้กากชาได้ถึงระดับ 10 เปอร์เซ็นต์น้ำหนักแห้งในสูตรอาหาร เพื่อเป็นแหล่งโปรตีนในอาหารที่ใช้เลี้ยงแพะนมลูกผสมผสมซาเนนได้ โดยไม่ก่อให้เกิดผลเสียต่อปริมาณการให้ผลผลิตและนิเวศวิทยาในกระเพาะรูเมน อย่างไรก็ตาม การเสริมกากชาที่ระดับ 5 และ 10 เปอร์เซ็นต์น้ำหนักแห้งในสูตรอาหารไม่ส่งผลต่อการผลิตก๊าซมีเทน

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is highly limited to only cell subsets that express PRRSV receptors. Reproductive organ revealing the typical signs of PRRSV infection may be the critical site of problem syndromes. Persistent PRRSV producing re-infection via horizontal or vertical transmission could not be eradicated from herds. This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant and antimutagenic activity of Zanthoxylum limonella seed extract and that of Z. limonella pericarp extract. The total phenolic contents and antioxidant activity assay including DPPH assay and FRAP assay were performed. The results showed that the antioxidant activity of pericarp extract was higher than that of the seed extract. The direct mutagenicity assay was determined, with and without nitrite treatment using the Ames test towards Salmonella typhimurium strains TA98 and TA100. The objectives of this observational descriptive cross-sectional study were to determine the prevalences of depression and metabolic syndrome and to examine the relationship between depression and metabolic syndrome and dietary pattern in working age people in Bangkok. The samples were 446 participants (123 males and 323 females) aged 20 and over who received an annual health examination 2017. The metabolic syndrome was defined by NCEP ATP III criteria. ประเมินค่าพารามิเตอร์ทางพันธุกรรมของลักษณะการอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรแรกเกิด (PSB) และการอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรก่อนหย่านม (PSW) ร่วมกับลักษณะน้ำหนักแรกเกิดรายตัว (IBW) และลักษณะขนาดครอก (LS) จากข้อมูลการอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรจำนวน 14,389 บันทึก (1,413 ครอก) จากแม่สุกร 705 ตัว ข้อมูลการอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรพันธุ์แลนด์เรซ ยอร์กเชียร์ และดูร็อก บันทึกในฟาร์มที่เลี้ยงสุกรในโรงเรือนเปิดที่ไม่มีระบบระบายความร้อน เป็นข้อมูลของลูกสุกรที่เกิดระหว่างปี พ.ศ. 2549 ถึง 2560 ประมาณค่าองค์ประกอบความแปรปรวนด้วยวิธี Gibbs sampling สำหรับลักษณะแบบไบนารี่และวิธี Average Information Restricted Maximum Likelihood (AIREML) สำหรับลักษณะแบบต่อเนื่อง ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ลำดับท้อง ระยะเวลาการอุ้มท้องของแม่สุกร และกลุ่มของโรงเรือน-ปี-เดือนที่ลูกสุกรเกิด มีอิทธิพลต่อ PSB, PSW และ IBW อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p<0.05) นอกจากนี้ PSW และ IBW ยังได้รับอิทธิพลจากพันธุ์ และเพศของสุกร (p<0.05) สำหรับ LS พบว่าขึ้นอยู่กับอิทธิพลของพันธุ์ของลูกสุกร และกลุ่มของโรงเรือน-ปี-เดือนที่ลูกสุกรเกิด (p<0.05) ค่าอัตราพันธุกรรมของ PSB, PSW, IBW และ LS มีค่าเท่ากับ 0.23 ± 0.02, 0.36 ± 0.03, 0.38 ± 0.03 และ 0.22 ± 0.01 ตามลำดับ ค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง IBW กับ PSB และ PSW มีค่าสูงเท่ากับ 0.77 ± 0.05 และ 0.85 ± 0.05 ตามลำดับ ในขณะที่ค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง PSB กับ PSW มีค่าปานกลางเท่ากับ 0.69 ± 0.14 สำหรับลักษณะรายครอกพบว่าค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมระหว่าง LS กับลักษณะเปอร์เซ็นต์การอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรแรกเกิด (%PSB) เปอร์เซ็นต์การอยู่รอดของลูกสุกรก่อนหย่านม (%PSW) และน้ำหนักแรกเกิดเฉลี่ย (ABW) มีค่าเป็นลบเท่ากับ -0.16 ± 0.03 -0.64 ± 0.02 และ -0.99 ± 0.001 ตามลำดับ จากค่าสหสัมพันธ์ทางพันธุกรรมแสดงให้เห็นว่า การคัดเลือกเพื่อเพิ่มน้ำหนักแรกเกิดของลูกสุกรอาจมีผลทำให้ PSB และ PSW เพิ่มขึ้น แต่หากคัดเลือกเพื่อเพิ่ม LS จะมีผลทำให้ %PSB, %PSW และ ABW ลดลง
