Given the health disparities which existed within the United States prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, this pandemic continued to pose a significant challenge to the health of the public. Paramount attention is often afforded to pharmacotherapies being brought to market. The anticipation from companies, their shareholders, and the patients poised to benefit are met with stiff statistical and methodological requirements set forth by Health Canada’s Health Products and Food Branch (HPFB). Once a pharmacotherapy has been approved by the HPFB, however, the onus to monitor these drugs falls largely on the shoulders of Health Canada, the manufacturers, and to a lesser degree, the Drug Safety and Effectiveness Network (DSEN). This research poster summarizes patient-engagement throughout the study "COVID-19: Implementation of virtual P.I.E.C.E.S for LTC resident care planning with family to build and sustain team collaboration and workforce resilience". It describes two implementation frameworks (CFIR and PRISM) as well as two patient-engagement tools (PEIRS and PPEET) in relation to the study. Lastly, it offers preliminary insights into the current landscape of patient-engagement in research.

Biopsy of the lip is a procedure most used by dermatologists in order to obtain histopathological evaluation of a lesion. It has remained the definitive method of diagnosis for many pathologies, including malignancy. However, although the incidence of lip malignancy has been relatively unchanged since 2012, the number of lip biopsies performed has not followed the same trend, but rather steeply declined since. In this study, the national trends in lip biopsies are evaluated. The Medicare Provider Utilization and Payment (MPUP) database was used to evaluate these practice trends in Medicare providers.

In this project we aim to:

1. Assess the outcomes of screening, management, and diagnosis for patients at the Rowan Community Health Center (RCHC).

2. Compare the outcomes of screening, management, and diagnosis between different groups (gender, race, income, insurance status) using validated surveys.

3. There is a need for accessible and affordable primary care in the South Jersey area, which the RCHC is hoping to meet.

Hypothesis:

The quality of mental health care available to patients at the RCHC is comparable to that at other insured practices.

Introduction: Reducing 30 and 60 day hospital readmissions is critical to our healthcare systems. Older folks with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) account for a disproportionate amount of readmissions. Through recognizing factors that correlate to readmissions, patients at risk may be identified.

Objective: To conduct a retrospective review of electronic medical records (EMR) to determine if there is an association between the lipid profile and admission and discharge locations of hospitalized older adults and whether they were rehospitalized 60-days post discharge.

• Many providers are resistant to PPD screenings

Purpose: Nisseria gonorrheae is a common bacteria that causes a sexually transmitted disease. This disease can cause significant discomfort for both men and women, which can lead to infertility. Treatment of the bacterium has been a simple matter of diagnosis and antibiotic treatment in the past, but now this bacterium is becoming increasingly antibiotic resistant because of excessive antimicrobial treatments. A novel way to treat N. gonorrheae infection involves focusing on finding bacteriophage that targets N. gonorrheae.
