The ability to pass a rigorous nursing curriculum and subsequently pass the National Council Licensing Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) exam is a requirement for nursing students to enter the nursing profession. Test anxiety may lead students to perform poorly on exams but emotional intelligence (EI) may buffer stress, improve communication, decrease anxiety, and improve nursing performance.
