During the spring and summer of 2020, boards of nursing (BONs) throughout the U.S. were faced with requests from educational programs for ways to replace clinical hours due to the inability to access clinical sites caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. While many clinical sites have since reopened to nursing students, some barriers still remain, resulting in a backlog of clinical hours for many nursing students throughout the state of Connecticut. A lot of people died, businesses shut down, people had to learn or work at home and students had school online using apps like zoom to participate in class in real time because of the whole nation quarantining itself. Quarantining was probably the worst and yet not the worst part of Covid because no one was able to go anywhere, everyone had to stay home so no hanging out with friends or really any kind of socialization.
