Purpose: Anchorage control is considered a keystone for successful orthodontic treatment so this study was to compare and measure the amount of anchorage loss during canine retraction by using micro-implant as a temporary anchorage device. Material and methods: A sample of 10 patients with an age range from 13 to 18 years, requiring extraction of first premolars was selected for this study. A randomized split-mouth study design was used. A nickel titanium closed-coil spring was used for canine retraction on micro-implants placed distal to the upper first permanent molar.
