Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Recent publications in various medical journals have focused on coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), a disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), which has gravely impacted the entire world. But hardly anyone discusses the consequences of its suppression by the widespread use of covid vaccines as a mandatory measure in almost all countries of the world. Through your esteemed journal, I would like to draw the attention of the entire homoeopathy fraternity towards this, in light of the Hahnemannian philosophy and propose anti-miasmatic treatment of the same.

Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Background: Hyperuricaemia plays a significant role in the development and pathogenesis of several metabolic and systemic disorders including metabolic syndrome, hypertension, stroke and atherosclerosis. Lycopodium clavatum is the most widely used drug in homoeopathy for treating hyperuricaemia and gout. However, its mechanism of action in reducing serum uric acid remains uncertain. Objective: The objective of the study was to study the potential role of homoeopathic preparation of Lycopodium clavatum in different potencies on monosodium urate crystallisation in vitro. Methods: Spectrophotometric crystallisation assay was carried out on a stock solution of 5 ml of uric acid after its …

Reply To Hahnemann's Position On Vaccination: A Call To Rethink., Rudi Verspoor
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
There is a debate on the merits of modern vaccination in relation to Hahnemann’s position regarding this practice in his time. The authors of a recent Letter to the Editor argue that Hahnemann was in favour of vaccination and that we need to assess vaccination objectively. I agree with both of these positions, but disagree as to the details regarding what is meant by these two conclusions. I argue that Hahnemann made clear that vaccination did not provide immunity, and never can. I further argue that there are better alternatives to vaccination in terms of boosting the immune system, and …
Therapies For Mitochondrial Disorders, Kayli Sousa Smyth, Anne Mulvihill
Therapies For Mitochondrial Disorders, Kayli Sousa Smyth, Anne Mulvihill
SURE Journal: Science Undergraduate Research Experience Journal
Mitochondria are cytoplasmic, double-membrane organelles that synthesise adenosine triphosphate (ATP). Mitochondria contain their own genome, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA), which is maternally inherited from the oocyte. Mitochondrial proteins are encoded by either nuclear DNA (nDNA) or mtDNA, and both code for proteins forming the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS) complexes of the respiratory chain. These complexes form a chain that allows the passage of electrons down the electron transport chain (ETC) through a proton motive force, creating ATP from adenosine diphosphate (ADP). This study aims to explore current and prospective therapies for mitochondrial disorders (MTDS). MTDS are clinical syndromes coupled with abnormalities …

Through the creative use of coloring, I am devising a way to document Zero Balancing’s two foundational elements, structure and energy and the changes that occur following a ZB session. I believe this experiential activity will be a creative fulcrum, helping the client connect more effectively with the deepest part of themselves thereby experiencing greater ease and freedom from their issues. As the activity of coloring is a “right brain”/ creative endeavor, I believe it can serve to enhance a client’s expanded state of consciousness, one of the hallmarks of a Zero Balancing session, as well as improve their overall …

Antiproliferative Effects Of Some Medicinal Plants On Colorectal Cancer: A Mini Review, Jamilah Borjac
BAU Journal - Health and Wellbeing
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the highly prevalent and deadly cancers worldwide. Surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy are the conventional treatment modalities for CRC; however, they cause adverse side effects and can be associated with cancer resistance and relapse. Currently, traditional herbal medicine is becoming increasingly studied and used in combination with conventional treatments in CRC. Various medicinal plants have shown promising anticancer effects against CRC concomitant with negligible side effects. For example, Annona muricata (soursop), Chenopodium quinoa (quinoa), Matricaria chamomilla (chamomile), and Moringa oleifera (moringa) have shown remarkable antiproliferative effects against CRC both in vitro and in vivo. Therefore, …

Patients generally present with oedema and fatigue. Complementary and alternative therapies have been widely used in the treatment of NS. The homoeopathic treatment for NS could be a safer approach to treating the disease.
Case Summary: This is the case of a 32-year-old man who presented with NS with membranous nephropathy and was successfully managed with individualised homoeopathic medicine, Natrium Sulphuricum over 1 year. The case was followed up with documentation of clinical symptoms and investigation reports findings. Changes in …

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome With Endometrial Hyperplasia And Uterine Fibroids Treated With Homoeopathy: A Case Report, Vaishali Shinde
Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy
Introduction: Any circumstance that alters the balance of oestrogen and progesterone leads to excessive, prolonged estrogenic stimulation, or preventing the counteracting effects of progesterone causing various pathological conditions in the reproductive system, as a result. Women with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) have mostly anovulatory cycles and low serum progesterone levels. Endometrial hyperplasia is most often due to excess oestrogen without progesterone. The clinical significance of chronic oestrogen secretion is an increased risk of endometrial hyperplasia. A striking feature of uterine fibroids (UFs) is their dependency on the ovarian oestrogen and progesterone. Existing treatments are mostly directed at the symptoms …

Introducing A Physical Therapist-Led Acceptance And Commitment Therapy Training For Pain: A Clinical Perspective, Joseph Tatta
Internet Journal of Allied Health Sciences and Practice
Purpose: Mounting evidence supports the use of cognitive and behavioral techniques as part of physical therapist practice. These methods are used within a physical therapist’s multimodal treatment approach for the management of pain and to facilitate health behavior change. There is a multitude of evidence-based cognitive behavioral techniques to choose from including newer approaches based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Yet few studies have examined physical therapists’ perceptions to learning and implementing ACT into clinical practice. The purpose of this manuscript is to present a clinical perspective of physical therapists learning about and incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy in clinical …
