After providing an overview of the history behind biometric information, this article will discuss the Illinois Biometric Privacy Act (BIPA)—which laid the foundation for biometric privacy regulations in the United States—and then discuss the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and its amendments in the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
