Annually colleges and universities spend countless hours updating their student codes of conduct, but is this added time worth the hassle if students continue to break the code? The purpose of this study was to examine the effects a student’s knowledge of a university’s code of conduct may have on the amount of code-breaking behaviors committed on campus. A survey was administered to students at Georgia Southern University analyzing students’ knowledge and perceptions of academic dishonesty and plagiarism on campus.
