The CALFED Bay-Delta Program (Program) is a cooperative effort of 15 .state and federal agencies with regulatory and management responsibilities in the San Francisco Bay /San Joaquin River Bay-Delta to develop a long-term plan to restore ecosystem health and improve water management for beneficial uses of the Bay-Delta system. The objective of this collaborative planning process is to identify comprehensive solutions to the problems of ecosystem quality, water supply reliability, water quality, and Delta levee and channel integrity.

This report, available to members of the State Legislature, administrators, policy makers, law enforcement officials, judges, and other professionals who deal with child abduction, serves several purposes: First, it is a guidebook to increase understanding of the dynamics of stranger abductions and those carried out by a family member, close friend or loved one. Second, it identifies issues, existing problems or deficiencies that must be addressed in order to prevent the numerous abductions that occur annually, and as a means of follow-up, it suggests recommendations and courses of action. School Facility Financing: A History Of The Role Of The State Allocation Board And Options For The Distribution Of Proposition 1a Funds, California Research Bureau

As California enters the 21st Century, its public schools face many challenges. One significant challenge is the serious disrepair of an aging school facility infrastructure. Another challenge is the anticipated growth of nearly 2 million K-12 students during the next decade that will require many districts to build new schools to meet burgeoning student demand. Recognizing the substantial need for infrastructure, in November 1998, California voters passed Proposition 1A, a bond measure that provides $6.7 billion for public K-12 school construction and repair.
