The United States Constitution, and more specifically the amendments to the Constitution, are often erroneously considered to be archaic relics of an earlier time of our country; rules that, despite instilling fundamental rights, are static documents that are frozen in time. This ideology, however, is far from reality. Much like our country, the amendments are in a constant state of flux, ever-changing and evolving to fit the advancements and changing needs of society.
